Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Marketing to lead the marketing and trading of our brand online. Responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of our onsite trading and promotions and leading the long-term brand build of 123Jaloezie. The role will combine a strong commercial approach with inspired storytelling and creativity. Working initially with our Product & Category Manager and incumbent agencies, we expect to build on the brand heritage and successes and start to build a larger team inhouse. We consider this a full time job (32-40 hours per week).

Salary: EUR 6,500 gross per month (based on fulltime 40 hours, depending on experience) with attractive performance related bonus

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy: Develop the annual brand and trading strategy to deliver the commercial objectives of the business and builds the brand for sustainable long-term growth. Contribute to plans to build new propositions and expand geographically.

Brand Management: Build a brand activity plan that drives the business and brand objectives and delivers the required ROI from spend. Custodian of the brand – owning and developing the brand positioning and managing all consumer touchpoints for consistency and impact. Responsible for the development of messaging and creative to deliver a brand that differentiates and resonates with the core target market.

Trading Management: Build a trading activity plan that drives business and brand objectives and is optimised to drive growth and margin delivery. This includes promotion design, delivery and evaluation to create an optimised schedule based on customer behaviour and insight.

Campaign & Content Management: Development and delivery of strategic and tactical campaigns aligned to the brand plan. Development and delivery of a content strategy to drive storytelling and engage customers.

Performance Marketing: Together with the agency, develop channel strategies that deliver ROI and are optimised for growth – incl. but not limited to PPC, Social, SEM, email and affiliates

Digital experience: Ongoing optimisation of the website to improve customer experience, SEO and improve conversion rate.

Product: Collaborate with the Product & Category Manager on product presentation and relevance

Insight: Constantly monitor the market to ensure competitive advantage and invest in consumer feedback and insight to input into strategy development and decision making

Planning & Reporting: Ongoing project management and prioritisation. Reporting and communication to key stakeholders. Comfortable with C-suite interaction and cross company collaboration.

Team Management: Building a team to support the growing requirements including training, mentoring, performance management and recruitment.

Budget and P&L Management: Day to day and annual management of the assigned operational and Capex budget as well as ongoing review of the P&L to identify areas of optimisation.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in Marketing with at least 4 years in E-commerce brands
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, business or a related field.
  • Experience managing external agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing both brand and performance marketing activities
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, platforms and tools.
  • Proficiency in web analytics – GA4, SEO
  • Knowledge of GDPR and other relevant regulations
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Team and people management
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven approach
  • Commercial acumen and budgeting experience

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in the décor, retail, or lifestyle sectors
  • Strong understanding of web technologies in the context of E-commerce
  • Familiarity with Magento or similar
  • Familiarity with Klaviyo or similar
